How to Install Android 4.0 ICS on Xiaomi MiOne Plus

Xiaomi Mi-One, or referred to as Mi-One Plus, is a smart mobile phone which is very popular in China. Xiaomi is a high-end smartphone, using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3(dual core, 1.5GHz) as its CPUs and an Adreno 220 as its GPU, but it is very cheap, around USD 310. I feel lucky I own one because it always in short supply. When it was released, the phone received more than 300,000 pre-orders in first 34 hours.

OK, let's go to the subject. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is too amazing，many novel technologies and much better user experience. Android users, including me, can not wait to get it. Not one phone(obviously iphone can't) could install ICS, but my xiaomi can. You can use recovery system or fastboot system to update Android 4.0. The steps of using recovery system is following.

Step 1: Whatever os you use before, backup your data, especially contacts and messages.
Step 2: Download a android 4.0 system.
Step 3: Shut down you phone, and press volume up + power button to start recovery system, choose language, wipe&reset, update system partition, then if you have not backup your date, your date lose!!
Step 4: Wait a moment and pray this try could success.
Step 5：Enjoy it, remember to recover your data.

Using fastboot system you need to check the driver of the fastboot. Tips, I use win7 and many times win7 setup driver for fastboot but actually if we want it work well we must install it with xiaomi's drivers. Next is the steps.

Step 1: Backup your data!!
Step 2: Download MiFastboot here, if you are professional with fastboot, ignore this step.
Step 3: Shut down the phone, and press volume down + mi button + power button to enter fastboot system like this:

Step 4: Open MiFastboot.exe and copy the directory of Android 4.0 to the black box. Click Flash.
